Get Ready for Blast Off! April ZMeet – Kennedy Space Center

Saturday, April 18:  The SunCentral Z Club has members from coast to coast – and this is a chance to experience the East Coast as never before. Rev up those Z’s and drive to Titusville. You won’t want to miss our first organized Z Club event at the Space Coast!  We will meet at 10 a.m. in the Fairfield Inn & Suites parking lot.  A special Suncentral Z Club group rate of $94 is available by clicking here to book your room.

This hotel is the closest Marriott to the Kennedy Space Center, 20 minutes north of Port Canaveral. The hotel features a free hot breakfast buffet and free high-speed wireless Internet. Pet-friendly (with fee) on ground-floor. Well-equipped business center, exercise room, outdoor heated pool, 24-hour Market, interior corridors, elevators. Rooms have refrigerators, microwaves and 32″ flat screen TVs.

We will meet in the Fairfield parking lot at 10:00 am and will depart no later than 10:30 a.m. for the Kennedy Space Center. We are negotiating free parking (normally $10 per car) for our group, so it would pay to caravan to the Space Center together. Tickets for the Space Center will be purchased on site, $50 per adult ($40 children). We can spend the rest of the day touring the many exhibits, including the Atlantis Space Shuttle. Admission includes:

When the Space Center closes at 6 p.m., we will get back into our Z’s and take a 20 minute drive to Port Canaveral for dinner at Baja Chowder & Seafood, 626 Glen Cheek Dr., Port Canaveral, FL 32920 (phone 321-799-1616). Awesome waterfront deck with specialties like garlic steak, pasta bayou, award winning clam chowder and key lime coconut cheesecake.The next morning, after enjoying the free hot breakfast buffet at the Fairfield Inn, we will drive to Exploration Tower, 670 Dave Nesbit Dr., Cape Canveral, FL 32920. For only $4 admission, we can enjoy this 7 story attraction full of exhibits and interactive displays – the observation decks and towers provide a 360 degree view of the Port and cruise ships, the Kennedy Space Center and even Cocoa Beach.By noon, everyone should be able to hit the road for the return trip home.   This should be a fun event, giving all Z enthusiasts a chance to socialize and enjoy the fabulous East Coast.   Our club member and host, Mike Panopoulous, promises sunny weather!  A special thanks to Mike for helping us put together this AWESOME event!
